Team Talk, Team Trust Card Game

How to use Team Talk/ Team Trust cards:

Trust is the foundation of solid teams. Team members must trust each other with the team's success and trust that each member is going to put the team's success ahead of their own.

For individuals to trust each other at that level they must know each other deeply, they must be willing to be a little bit vulnerable with each other in the workplace. These cards help to build that foundation by allowing team members to get to know each other, to bond, to trust.

There are no rules for Team Talk but we have given a few suggestions below.

Use these as a guide or use them your own way.

Meeting Starter:

At the beginning of each team meeting allow ten minutes for Team Talk. Choose one or two cards and have each member around the table/room answer the question. If the team is struggling with competition between team members, have each team member choose their own card for the first few times - this reduces the desire to judge one's response against another's. Allow an opportunity to ask each other follow-up and clarifying questions.

Thinking Break:

During a long day or a difficult topic, take a break and follow the guide above. Breaking tension and/or exhaustion, with a change of pace that also brings the team together can have dramatic effect.
